Burden of the Call
Submitted by: JoAnna Collins		I have recently had a burden placed on my heart for the missions work that is being done on the Standing Rock Reservation. I am a School Nurse with a heavy concentration in chronic disease management of both students and staff, in Richmond Virginia but have always had a desire to work with the Native American people as I am a decendant. When I heard a retired nurse who had visited the reservation and told me of the depression and hopelessness of the people, I immediately felt that God was showing me that the Call was real for me. I am returning to school this fall for 1 year to complete my BSN (I am currently an RN, ADN). Please pray for me as I listen for God's direction and how he would use me to minister to this community. I am hoping to travel with a group that is going to Cannon Ball in August. I will be in prayer for those whom you are witnessing to and those who are still lacking the powerful and life-changing relationship with our Savior, Jesus Christ. I feel an urgency of need to reach this group of people and would appreciate you joining with me in prayer while I wait and listen to God's directions for the life of the Dakota/Lakota Indians, my family, and myself.
